Ghost 1.0 is a 2D metroidvania with nostalgic sci-fi elements, a futuristic atmosphere and a remarkable sense of humor. In this game, you play as Ghost, an enigmatic android-like agent who works for two hackers that want to infiltrate the Nakamura Space Station, a place where a new technology that could change the world -as we know it- is being developed: an A.I capable of recreating human behavior and capacities, without physical and ethical boundaries. In order to steal this mind-boggling invention, you’ll have to fight against a never-ending defense system and master the arts of stealth. Upgrade your weapons, become the greatest cybernetic rogue and accomplish your mission.
Since I was a teen, I’ve been obsessed with sci-fi staples from different types of media, like the Metroid Series, Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner. Inspired by this huge passion for the genre, I developed this futuristic 2D videogame. However, I also wanted to distinguish my project from its predecessors, so I added a lot of comic relief within the game’s dialogues; this witty humor gives Ghost 1.0 a lighter tone, without sacrificing its storytelling or its gameplay.

Fran, the man behind de the scenes, is an indie PC and console game developer. When he touched his first computer, he knew videogames would be his world; ever since, gaming has been his main hobby. He then became a self-taught person, learning about programming from magazines, books and –most recently– the Internet. Later on, in 2000, he studied Engineering Informatics. He has been in the gaming industry for 15 years already, working for big companies (like Ubisoft) and also small ones; nowadays, he works on his own. During his career, he has developed over 50 videogames, most of them being phone games. His two most recent projects are “Unepic” a 2D platform RPG with a medieval aesthetic, and “Ghost 1.0” a 2D futuristic and humorous metroidvania; both games run on an engine developed by him.
